What's Happening at Enterprise Public School?

Enterprise Public School

Dear families,

The beautiful weather has allowed our students the opportunity to take some of their learning outside this week. Karate and cross country running have started and a few classes spent the day today at Gould Lake. Tomorrow we will participate in the annual Terry Fox Walk/Run/Roll. Our annual Open House BBQ is next week on the 25th from 5:00-6:00. We look forward to seeing you then.

Important dates:

September 19th at 2:15 pm: Terry Fox Run

September 23rd at 6:00 pm: Student Advisory Council

September 25th from 5:00-6:00 pm: Open House BBQ

September 30th Orange Shirt day and National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

October 10th: PA Day

Terry Fox Run

Our Terry Fox Run, Walk, and Roll will take place tomorrow at 2:15 p.m. We are very excited to take part in this annual tradition that supports cancer research while building school spirit.

To continue with Terry’s cause, we are asking each family to scan the QR code below to bring you to the official Terry Fox Foundation where you can donate any denomination you wish to the Enterprise Public School page. We will also be accepting Toonies for Terry in the school. You may also visit:

.

Thank you for your ongoing support.

Our donation deadline is Friday September 26th. Please ensure that all donations are in on or before this date.

If we reach our $1100 goal, staff will be PIED in the FACE!!

RECOGNIZING and COMMITTING to TRUTH and RECONCILIATION

On September 30th of each year, we recognize both Orange Shirt Day and the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. On this day, we commemorate the residential school experience and honour the healing journey of the survivors and their families. We encourage everyone to learn about the history of residential schools and to engage in meaningful discussion about the effects of residential school and the legacy left behind.

Human Development and Sexual Health Curriculum K-8

As part of LDSB's commitment to ongoing transparency and communication with families, please follow the link to Form 325-D on the LDSB website. It outlines the Human Development and Sexual Health curriculum expectations for Grades 1-8.  Families can request to have their child or children exempted from instruction related to Human Development and Sexual Health expectations by completing and returning an exemption form for each child (Form 325-B:) five school days before the start of instruction. Prior to instruction, your child's classroom teacher will inform parents/guardians when the expectations related to the Human Development and Sexual Health expectations in Strand D will be covered. For a more detailed overview of this process, please refer to Administrative Procedure 325: Exemption From Human Development and Sexual Health Instruction (listed under the Policies and Procedures section of the LDSB website), or contact the school.

CPIC

If you are planning to volunteer in any capacity with the school, please take the time to get a CPIC filled out. If you have had one completed within the past year, please just stop in and sign a declaration form here at the school.  If you haven’t - please pick up a form from the Office and apply for your CPIC online.  It is free of charge if you are volunteering with the school.  Please take time to consider this as it is a requirement when working with or accompanying our students on field trip outings. Thank you for your support in this.

Medical Needs

For all medical needs, including the use of epi-pens and asthma inhalers, new 2025-2026 forms are required to be filled out and returned.  Some forms must also be completed and signed by your physician. These forms can be faxed back to the school from the Doctor’s Office if that is more convenient. Our Fax number is 613-358-2083.
