<h2 class="editor-heading-h2" dir="ltr">What's Happening at Enterprise Public School?</h2>We are wishing all students and their families a happy new year. We hope the holidays were restful and full of fun. Looking ahead into January we have some field trips to Gould Lake coming up as well as Swim to Survive for our grade 3 students. Please continue to send winter gear to school every day. Even when the buses are cancelled, we make the best of our winter fun outside.<h2 class="editor-heading-h2" dir="ltr">News from School Council</h2>Thank you to the members of our School Council who organized the Elf sale. Students were able to shop and take home gifts for their family members. What a wonderful tradition to carry on here at Enterprise Public School.Our next School Council meeting is Tuesday, February 10th at 6:00 pm. Everyone is welcome. We will be heading there again on January 15th. Thank you to all of the families who came out to volunteer and support this event. If your child does not have skates and a helmet, please let the school or their teacher know and we can help coordinate borrowing of equipment. EQAO Results Sent Home Individual EQAO results were sent home with current Grade 4 and 7 students (last year's 3s and 6s) before the break. <h2 class="editor-heading-h2" dir="ltr">What's Happening at Enterprise Public School?</h2>The count down to the holidays is on. The snow has arrived and students are busy at recess making snow forts and other snow structures. We have enjoyed a wonderful school dinner this week and we would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to all of the families that sent in food items for our meal. We had a great kitchen crew, servers and a fleet of people who cooked the turkeys. A special thank you to Mrs. Dowker for organizing the event. All staff and students were invited to sit down and share a meal together. The event was enjoyed by all. Thank you to everyone! This month we are lucky enough to have 2 bands come and visit our school. We have enjoyed a performance by the Napanee District Secondary School band and tomorrow the Sydenham High School band is coming. Please join us for our December concert on Thursday, December 18th at 5:30.<h2 class="editor-heading-h2" dir="ltr">News from Parent Council</h2>Our Parent Council Elf sale will be held this Thursday and Friday. Thank you to everyone who brought in donations for our sale. The gifts will be priced at $1 and $2. We will try to keep the limit to a list of 5 people per child. We will allow students to visit twice and buy more if time and inventory allows. Our next Parent Council meeting is Tuesday, February 10th at 6:00 pm. Everyone is welcome. What's Happening at Enterprise Public School

<h2 class="editor-heading-h2" dir="ltr">What's Happening at Enterprise Public School?</h2>November brought a lot of fun and learning to our school community. We had three artists visit and work with our grades 1-8 students. David Archibald helped the grades 1/2 and 3/4 students write a song while two drummers conducted an interactive workshop with our grade 4/5 and 6/7/8 classes. The Indigenous team came to do a beading workshop with the grade 3-8 students, as we learned about Treaties.Mrs. Ryan's class has been learning about 3D printing this week with staff from the central board office. They will soon be all set to teach the rest of the school this skill. We are enjoying the 3D printer that was purchased last year by our SAC. Thank you so much!Please see the list of events coming up below. About Our School

Welcome to Enterprise Public School, a small rural school with a big rural spirit! We offer Kindergarten to Grade 8 students a learning environment in which everyone knows their name. Students interact with their peers from all grades on a daily basis on the playground and in classrooms. Our intermediate students are active school volunteers. Our playground is expansive with a wealth of play structures and equipment. Our daily intramural program offers activity to students of all grades during the lunch hour recess. Our school staff is committed to celebrating personal and collective achievements in a caring and supportive environment. We're proud of our school and our amazing community. Enterprise is twinned with Tamworth Public School and shares school administration.

If your student was born in 2022, now is the time to <a href="https://www.limestone.on.ca/registration" class="editor-link">register your new student</a> to start school this September.Kindergarten is a wonderful new world of learning and growing and a very exciting time for both you and your student. We learn how to read, how to write and we make so many new friends. Our educator teams of a teacher and early childhood educator, help us along the way. Limestone welcomes all students, promoting and encouraging families to attend their area school, but we understand that it is best interest of some students to attend an out-of-boundary school and that selecting the right educational setting for your new student is a significant decision.Selecting an out-of-boundary school for your new student is a decision influenced by many factors. The school may be closer to a workplace or near a childcare provider that might be more convenient for drop-off and pick-up routines. In accordance with board policy, by default, students will be enrolled in the school designated within their boundary area, based on their home address.We aim to accommodate family preferences, but please note that out-of-boundary placements are not guaranteed, and families will be responsible for organizing transportation to and from out-of-boundary schools.Students may be permitted to attend any school within the board when there is available student space, upon submission and approval of the proper application. The board will not be held responsible for the provision of any transportation for students outside of their regular school boundary area. This applies to both students within Limestone’s geographic boundaries (out-of-boundary), and students who live outside of those boundaries (out-of-district).   We are committed to supporting you every step of the way. Dear Families,I hope this message finds you well as we approach the end of the last school week of 2025 and the upcoming holiday season.  I wanted to share a few updates with you before we head into the Winter Break:EQAO ResultsThe Ministry of Education recently released the 2024-2025 Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO) results, and we are proud to share that Limestone achieved its strongest performance in four years, with gains across every testing category.Limestone’s results align with provincial outcomes in many areas and show notable improvements in others, including among specific student groups. In fact, Limestone’s performance is at or above the provincial average in nearly all measures.These accomplishments reflect the collective efforts of Limestone’s educators, Educational Assistants, program teams, and school leaders—along with the commitment and support of students and families across the district. These events include a special presentation about the school, its programs, and the registration process.Information nights are also a great opportunity to learn about the wide variety of programs available for secondary students in Limestone—including expanded opportunities, French immersion, the International Baccalaureate program, and more. We are very proud of the range and choice of different secondary programs we provide to the communities we serve.Upcoming <a href="https://www.limestone.on.ca/news/grade-8-information-nights-20251208194333" class="editor-link">information night dates can be found on Limestone’s website</a>.Inclement Weather Reminder/Tri-Board Transportation ReminderWe are now well into the inclement weather season and have already experienced some transportation cancellation days. Our transportation partner, Tri-Board Student Transportation Services (Tri-Board), works closely with school bus companies to determine whether it is safe to operate on days with adverse weather.School buses function differently than family vehicles, and sometimes, even when roads seem safe for cars, conditions are not suitable for buses. Given the geographic size of our district, weather can vary significantly from one region to another.
