What's Happening at Enterprise Public School?
April was a busy month at EPS. We are so grateful to all of the families and friends that joined us for our Grandparent's tea and our book fair. It was a great event and a nice way for our students to share their school with the community.
Enterprise hosted a friendly dodgeball tournament for local schools and our junior team travelled to Centerville for their tournament. The cross-country team and junior boys basketball teams are running. A big thank you to Mrs. Esposito and Mrs. Pelow for coaching these teams.
We would like to wish a huge congratulations to Mrs. Ryan and her family, who welcomed their baby, Evelyn, to the world last week. We are also very happy to welcome back Mrs. Raymond (Sadler), who will be teaching the grade 3/4 class this spring.
Please continue to check the dates below for our most up-to-date hot lunch and field trip dates.
News from School Council
Plant Sale
Our students were busy planting seeds and looking after plants for the month of April. Please join us for a pancake breakfast and plant sale on Saturday, May 9th at the Enterprise Firehall. There will be a planter raffle and many plants to purchase.
We are busy planning the Fun Fair, scheduled for Wednesday, May 27th. More details to come. We are looking for volunteers. Please contact parent council if you would like to help out at the event.
Our next School Council meeting is Monday, June 8th at 6:00 pm. Everyone is welcome. If you would like to follow our Facebook page you can find us here https://www.facebook.com/share/16nndBG7SS/?mibextid=wwXIfr.
Mental Health Week
Mental Health Week, led by the Canadian Mental Health Association, will be recognized from May 4-10, with this year’s national theme being “Come together, Canada – Stronger Connections. Better Mental Health.”
This theme highlights the importance of meaningful social connection as a protective factor for mental well‑being. Research consistently shows that fostering a sense of belonging can enhance resilience, reduce stress, and support overall health across all age groups.
Throughout the week, our school will be engaging students in activities that promote inclusion, positive relationships, and supportive school environments. These daily initiatives are designed to strengthen classroom and school wide connections, encourage empathy and kindness, and reinforce that every member of our community is valued.
We invite families to join us in recognizing Mental Health Week by taking moments at home to connect, whether through conversation, shared activities, or simply checking in with one another. Together, we can help create a community where all students feel safe, supported, and connected.

Kindergarten and Grade 9 registration
Kindergarten registration is open! Please see the graphic below and pass the word along to any prospective Enterprise Eagles. We will hold a 'Welcome to Kindergarten' event on May 20th at 4:00. We also wanted to share a LDSB resource document that has lots of links and supports for families transitioning to Kindergarten. 2026 Discover Kindergarten Resources for Families (3)
Our grade 8 students will be visiting NDSS on May 7th to hear about grade 9 and ask questions.
Family Engagement and Climate Survey
The Limestone District School Board’s Family Engagement and Climate Survey is now live and we invite families to share their experiences with their student’s school and with the school board.
Your feedback helps Limestone understand what is working well and where we can improve, and supports welcoming, safe, and supportive school communities.
The survey is open from April 30 to May 11 and is available online. Paper copies are also available at your school’s administrative office.
Access the Family Engagement and Climate Survey online.
Participation is voluntary and anonymous. You may skip any questions you choose, and no identifying information is collected.
Thank you for sharing your voice and helping strengthen Limestone schools and school communities
Cell Phones
Students may bring phones to school but they are to remain switched off, out of view and are not to be used during the day. If a student needs to call home for an emergency during the school day, they must do so using the office phone. Failure to follow the school’s cell phone expectations will result in phone call/meetings with parents/caregivers.
A reminder, that the school is not responsible for lost or damaged devices.
Thank you for your cooperation!
